Engineering Team Lead

This is an engineering dream position. Maas Energy Works (MEW) is looking for someone who loves engineering, but also managing an amazing team. We have a young team full of potential. We are creating new products for renewable energy. We can teach you technology, but you must be willing to learn and ready to dive into the world of biogas. The specifics of the role include the design and engineering of anaerobic digesters, biogas handling systems, and other associated renewable energy projects. The role is a 50/50 mix of (1) technical design and (2) leading and developing a team of 5-10 engineering and technical staff. The ideal candidate can switch between highly technical engineering problems and interpersonal team development easily.

MEW is looking for someone who enjoys a little pressure and finding solutions when it gets tough. The Engineering Team Lead will be expected to work in a variety of disciplines; civil, mechanical, electrical, process, manufacturing, and other disciplines related to these renewable energy systems. The Engineering Team Lead will serve as the champion of engineering and design across the organization. Additionally, the Engineer will provide support for assembly, commissioning, and operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing biogas projects with a strong understanding of system optimization, and the ability to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.

Directs the rate design and pricing for a wide variety of natural gas matters including base rates, various natural gas service tariff rates, and the development of special contracts for natural gas distribution service. Directs the preparation of natural gas cost of service studies and other cost support analyses. Participates in the formulation of regulatory policies, coordination of FERC and FPSC matters, development and maintenance of allocation factors used in business unit analysis and reporting. Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work with the project team to create world class designs for new installations and modifications on a variety of natural gas, RNG (renewable natural gas), and hydrogen projects, on infrastructure such as transmission pipelines, compressor, M&R (meter and regulator) stations and other areas related to the industry. The Staff Mechanical Engineer will work with the project team throughout the engineering, design and construction phases of various projects, adapting mechanical aspects according to project scope and schedule, client material specifications, state and federal (PHSMA) regulations, and industry best practices. Experience with biogas processing and upgrading systems would support Burns & McDonnell’s RNG practice that focuses on providing exemplary service to various utility, municipal, energy, and industrial clients. Typical assignments include working with multi-disciplinary teams in conducting feasibility studies, due diligence assessments, development of preliminary engineering packages, detailed design, and construction of significant RNG assets for our clients.
