Waga Energy Expands Its Presence in California With a Third Wagabox Unit

Waga Energy is proud to announce a new contract with Kern County to design, build, operate, and maintain a renewable natural gas (RNG) production unit at Bena Landfill in Bakersfield, California. Under a 20-year offtake agreement, the University of California will purchase the RNG produced, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, renewable energy, and combating climate change. 

Once up and running, the WAGABOX® unit at Bena Landfill will be the third in California and the 13th in the United States. This project strengthens Waga Energy’s leadership in landfill gas recovery and RNG production, while helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
