Webcast: Cross-Industry Collaboration on Methane Reductions (CSIS)

  • CSIS Washington, DC (map)

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM ET

Methane emissions are responsible for at least 25 percent of global warming in the industrial era. Reducing methane emissions is one of the fastest ways to slow the pace of global warming, and methane is now at the center of international climate negotiations. Many of these efforts focus on methane cuts from the oil and gas industry, but tackling emissions from the agriculture and waste industries will be critical as well.

There are opportunities for these industries to share lessons learned, from adopting various methane monitoring technology, to striking new research and funding partnerships to advance progress.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is pleased to host this event on cross-industry collaboration for methane reductions, featuring Congressional speakers, industry leaders, and methane experts from academia and civil society.
